The plant in Manaus, Brazil, has achieved the production of 150,000 BMW motorcycles manufactured in the country, coinciding with the tenth anniversary of this facility, considered to be the only factory of the brand dedicated exclusively to motorcycle outside of Germany.

Thanks to this evolution, the brazilian installation has gradually increased its productive capacity and currently manufactures 13 different models for the national market.

The plant Manaus represents a unique case within BMW Motorrad, as it is the only factory of motorcycles of the brand outside of Germany that is dedicated exclusively to the production of motorcycles. This feature makes it a strategic point within the global structure of the BMW Group.

In addition to the production of motorcycles, the operation has allowed the development of a chain of local suppliers of highly specialized, generating direct and indirect jobs in the amazon region and contributing to the economic growth of the area.

The executive also pointed out that every motorcycle manufactured in Manaus represents the brand's commitment to innovation and excellence, as well as the effort of a team that has accompanied the growth of BMW Motorrad in Brazil.

BMW R 1300 GS Adventure Triple Black: the motorcycle that marks the new record

The motorcycle is chosen to represent this historic moment was a BMW R 1300 GS Adventure Triple Black, a version that combines unique design, advanced technology and outstanding capabilities for long voyages.

This model incorporates the boxer engine more powerful, developed by BMW Motorrad until now, with 145 horsepower and 149 Nm of torque, offering an exceptional response both on the road and off the road.

Its design was completely renovated with respect to previous generations, highlighting an impressive fuel tank aluminum with a capacity of 30 litres, designed to expand the autonomy in long-distance travel.

The BMW R 1300 GS Adventure also incorporates solutions focused on improving the comfort and safety of the pilot. Among them is the system Dynamic Suspension Adjustment (DSA), which electronically adjustable damping and the stiffness of the spring in real time to adapt to the driving conditions.

Another of his innovations is the system of automatic adjustment of height, able to reduce the height of the motorcycle up to 30 mm when it is stopped or traveling at a low speed, making it easier for the pilot to support the foot with added safety.
