
Munich. The first half of the year presented a mixed picture: while the market in China and in the countries of the Asia-Pacific region recorded a significant drop in the first six months of the year, BMW Group increased its sales in Europe and the united States. In Europe, sales increased by around +5.4%. In the united States, the company reported a growth of +3.9%, where the BMW brand is exceeding the performance of the market in general. In the first half of 2026, BMW Group delivered a total of about 1.15 million vehicles to customers around the world, which represents a slight decrease in sales (-4.2%).
“Despite the challenges at the global level, we achieved results of positive sales in the united States and Europe,” said Jochen Goller, member of the Board of Management of BMW AG responsible for Customer, Brands, Sales. “The Neue Klasse continues to show strong momentum. With the BMW iX3*, we're on our way to hit the next big milestone of 100,000 new orders. The second model of the Neue Klasse, the BMW i3, have already registered a strong demand from the opening of pre-orders before its launch.”
With the start of deliveries of the new BMW iX3, the sales of all-electric vehicles showed a positive trend in the second quarter. BMW Group delivered 116,807 all-electric vehicles BMW and MINI customers between April and June of 2026 (+5.2%). In particular, in the european market, where the BMW iX3 was available first, sales of BEV increased significantly. With 81,445 units delivered in the second quarter, the company recorded a double-digit growth of +38.0% in Europe. In Germany, BMW took the second place in the second quarter in registrations of all-electric vehicles.
The BMW brand delivered around one million vehicles to customers in the first half of the year (-6.2%). The brand recorded growth in Europe (+1.5%) as in the united States (+4.7%). In EE. UU., the growth was mainly driven by the models BMW X. The new BMW X5 will also be presented there at the end of June and is expected to launch to the market to generate positive momentum in global sales. In the same period, BMW M GmbH delivered 99,595 vehicles to customers (-6.0%).
With a total of 149,538 vehicles sold, the MINI brand recorded an increase year-on-year significant of +11.7%, marking its sixth consecutive quarter of growth. The models are fully electric MINI experienced a strong global demand and were the main engine of growth of the brand. The Rolls-Royce brand delivered 2,523 vehicles to customers in the first half of 2026 (-9.8%). In the first six months of the year, BMW Motorrad delivered a total of 102,847 motorcycles and scooters (-2.9%).
