BMW Group Latin america confirms departure of Joao Veloso
BMW Group announced organizational changes in its regional team of Corporate Communications for Latin america. From the may 29, 2026, Joao Veloso leave your office to undertake new professional projects outside of the company.
The information was confirmed by Mariella Kapsaskis, who highlighted the contributions of Veloso during his career within the automotive company.
Juan Bernardo Vázquez Mellado will assume the position
After the departure of Joao Veloso, Juan Bernardo Vázquez Mellado assume so acting the regional responsibilities of Corporate Communication until BMW Group's official announcement of his successor.
This movement seeks to ensure the continuity of the strategies of corporate communication in 27 markets that make up the Latin american region.
Regional leadership in Latin america
In 2022, Joao Veloso was appointed Director of Corporate Communications for Latin america, a position from which he coordinated the integration of regional strategies of communication for BMW, MINI and BMW Motorrad.
During this stage, he worked in close collaboration with regional teams and global to consolidate the presence editorial brands in Latin America and stay connected to the markets with the latest corporate and product launches.
