BMW Group Plant in Debrecen, Hungary, reached a new milestone in its history by producing the unit number 50,000 of the BMW iX3, just nine months after the start of the series production. This achievement represents one of the leaders of the fastest production that the company has achieved in a plant completely new and confirms the ability of BMW Group to lead the transition towards a new generation of electric vehicles.
The BMW iX3 produced in Debrecen is not just a new model within the electric range of the German firm. It is the first production vehicle in the series based on the architecture Neue Klasse, a platform that will pave the way for technological and design of the next models of the BMW Group.

“The production of the BMW iX3 number 50,000 reflects the dedication and experience of our team. As home to the first model of the Neue Klasse mass-produced, the plant of Debrecen is helping to shape the future of the network of global production of BMW Group,” explained Kemser.
The growth of production responds to the high demand of the BMW iX3
The rate of production of the BMW iX3 increased rapidly from the start of production. One of the key factors was the incorporation of advance of a second shift of work in February 2026, a decision made due to the strong demand that the new electric model generated from its commercial launch.
The acceleration of the production allowed the BMW Group to respond to a large number of orders, and get closer to a new goal: to reach soon, the 100,000 orders received for the first series-production model of the Neue Klasse.
