BMW Motorrad became the Interlagos Motorcycle Festival 2026 at a stage to celebrate their history, to show their new products and anticipate some of the next steps of the brand in Brazil. During the event, held in São Paulo, the manufacturer celebrated the 10 years of motorcycle production in Manaus, an operation that recently reached the 150,000 units are produced in the country.

The celebration was also accompanied by the presentation of the BMW R 1300 GS Adventure Limited Edition 10th Anniversary, an exclusive series of only 10 units, as well as by the exhibition of the BMW F 450 GS, a model that could have a future in the brazilian market depending on the response from the public.

With these developments, BMW Motorrad not only look to his past in Brazil, but it also uses one of the main events of motorcycling in the country to show where you could go to your strategy in the coming years.

Ten years of BMW Motorrad producing motorcycles in Manaus

In 2026, the plant of the BMW Group in Manaus, played a decade of operations. This is a installation that is especially relevant within the international structure of BMW Motorrad, as it is the only factory of motorcycles of the brand outside of Germany devoted exclusively to the production of motorcycles.

During these ten years, the operation brazilian has evolved through ongoing investments, the incorporation of new technologies and the expansion of its production capacities. Its growth also reflects the importance that the brazilian market has been acquired for BMW Motorrad at the global level.

The relevance of Brazil was even more clear with the recent milestone of 150,000 motorcycles produced in Manaus. This figure represents a decade of industrial and commercial growth for the brand, but also confirms the weight that is the country within the international strategy of BMW Motorrad.

Brazil currently occupies the fifth place among the most important markets for BMW Motorrad worldwide, only behind Germany, France, Italy and the united States.

For this reason, the anniversary of the factory does not represent only a local celebration. For BMW Motorrad, the ten years of production in Manaus are also a sample of the consolidation of Brazil as one of the strategic markets for the development of the brand.

BMW R 1300 GS Adventure: a limited edition to celebrate the anniversary

One of the main attractions of the Interlagos Motorcycle Festival 2026 was the presentation of a special version of the BMW R 1300 GS Adventure developed specifically to commemorate the ten years of production in Manaus.

The BMW R 1300 GS Adventure Limited Edition 10th Anniversary will have a production run of just 10 units, becoming a motorcycle especially exclusively for collectors and fans of the family GS.

The special edition received a visual identity of its own, with paint, finishes and graphics exclusive applied in different areas of the motorcycle. Between the custom elements include the deposit, the side panels, the protector of the crankcase, the protectors of the valve covers and the trunk top.

Each motorcycle will also have a commemorative plaque numbered, a detail that enhances the exclusivity of a series created specifically to celebrate the first decade of production of BMW Motorrad in Brazil.

Beyond the aesthetic elements, the editing keeps the main technical features of the BMW R 1300 GS Adventure. The motorcycle is equipped with the well-known boxer engine of 1,300 cc, able to develop 145 HP, in addition to incorporating the system HANDLE, Automated Shift Assistant, and a broad set of technologies aimed at improving the security, comfort and the driving experience.

BMW Motorrad has not yet announced the date of commencement of marketing or the suggested retail price of this special edition. Both details will be communicated subsequently by the brand.

The choice of the R 1300 GS Adventure is also casual. The family GS represents one of the pillars of BMW Motorrad and one of the expressions most important of his philosophy of adventure, so I use this model as the basis for a commemorative edition allows you to directly connect the industrial history of the brand with one of your products more recognizable.

BMW F 450 GS: a possible new member for Brazil

The anniversary of the plant in Manaus was not the only reason to look towards the future. BMW Motorrad also took advantage of the Interlagos Motorcycle Festival 2026 to present to the brazilian public the BMW F 450 GS.

In this case, the presence of the motorcycle has a different meaning. The model is exhibited as a part of a market study and an evaluation of the acceptance of the brazilian consumer, so that his arrival in the national catalog is not yet confirmed.

The BMW F 450 GS represents a new proposal within the family GS and combines compact dimensions with features designed for both urban journeys to explore different types of terrain.

The motorcycle uses a new flat-twin engine capable of developing 48 CV and recorded a weight of just 178 kg. In addition to this, a suspension with 180 millimeters of travel, a configuration that seeks to provide a balance between agility, control and capability out of the asphalt.

Your presence at Interlagos allows you to BMW Motorrad directly measure the reaction of the riders brazilians to the model. Depending on the response obtained during this evaluation, the F-450 GS could become a future member of the range available in Brazil.

The strategy is also interesting because the family GS has a presence, particularly important in the brazilian market. Enter a motorcycle more compact would broaden the scope of this philosophy toward new users without departing from the characteristics of adventure that identify the family.

BMW Motorrad takes the competition to the Festival Interlagos

The link between BMW Motorrad and Brazil is not limited to the production and marketing of motorcycles. The competition also occupies an important place in the presence of the brand in the country.

The Festival Interlagos Bikes 2026, held precisely in one of the circuits most iconic motor racing, brazilian, served as a stage to show some of the motorcycles that represent BMW Motorrad in the national competitions.

Among them was the BMW S 1000 RR used in Moto1000GP, piloted by Theo Manna. The sporty BMW Motorrad compete in different circuits brazilians, among them Goiânia, Cascavel, Curvelo and Interlagos.

The S 1000 RR represents the most sporting of the brand and to translocate to the circuit some of the technologies and features that are also part of the identity of BMW Motorrad in the motorcycle segment of high-performance.

But the competitive presence of BMW Motorrad in Brazil also extends out of the asphalt. In the Festival Interlagos, the public could know the BMW F 900 GS Pro is used by Tiago Fantozzi in the Rally dos Sertões, one of the competitions off-road's most demanding country.

The motorcycle maintains a configuration very close to that of production, showing the potential of the platform GS in conditions are particularly demanding. Rally dos Sertões represents, moreover, a natural scenario to demonstrate the capabilities of a motorcycle designed to combine long distances, difficult terrain, and driving off the road.

A strategy that combines production, adventure, and competition

The involvement of BMW Motorrad in the Interlagos Motorcycle Festival 2026 allows observation of three items that are currently a part of the strategy of the brand in Brazil: production, product, and competition.

On the one hand, the ten years of the plant of Manaus and the 150,000 motorcycles produced confirming the consolidation of BMW Motorrad in the country. On the other, the R 1300 GS Adventure Limited Edition 10th Anniversary show how the brand can make this anniversary industrial in a unique and exclusive product.

At the same time, the display of the F 450 GS opens the door to a possible future expansion of the family GS in the brazilian market. Although there is still no confirmation on your local marketing, the evaluation of the public shows that BMW Motorrad is looking for new opportunities.

Finally, the presence of motorcycles such as the S 1000 RR and the F 900 GS Pro evidence that the strategy also involves maintaining a close relationship with the national competitions.

Riders such as Aloísio Frazão, Tomaz Santos, Doubt Mikulski and Durval Careca part of this presence of BMW Motorrad Motorsport in Brazil, expanding the representation of the mark in different disciplines.

BMW Motorrad looks to the future from Brazil

The tenth anniversary of the plant Manaus comes at a significant moment for BMW Motorrad. After a decade of production and reach the 150,000 motorcycles manufactured in Brazil, the brand seems to be clear that the country will continue to play an important role within your overall strategy.

The Interlagos Motorcycle Festival 2026 was, in that sense, much more than a celebration. The presentation of the BMW R 1300 GS Adventure Limited Edition 10th Anniversary put in value the history of the brand; the BMW F 450 GS showed a possible direction for the future; and the motorcycles of the competition showed that BMW Motorrad continues to seek prominence both inside and outside of the road.

With ten units of the special edition of the R 1300 GS Adventure, 150,000 motorcycles produced in the country and a plant that meets in a decade of activity, BMW Motorrad has enough reasons to celebrate.

But the most important message seems to be what comes after. Brazil is already one of the five most important markets for BMW Motorrad in the world and, with new motorcycles, investments and projects are yet to be defined, the history of the brand in Manaus seems to be far from reaching its next chapter.
