Munich. BMW Motorrad Motorsport has confirmed the arrival of Brad Binder to the team, ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK season by 2027. The pilot of south africa will compete aboard the BMW M 1000 RR and share team with Miguel Oliveira, who maintains a relationship sport that dates back to his early years in the Motogp World Championship.

After six seasons in MotoGP, Binder will face a new challenge to the debut in the World Superbike Championship FIM WorldSBK), joining as a pilot officer of BMW Motorrad Motorsport starting in 2027.

Their 30 years, Brad Binder has an international career that began in 2012, when he made his debut in the Moto3 class. Four years later won the Moto3 World Championship, a result that allowed him to take the next step towards the Moto2 class.

Sven Blusch, director of BMW Motorrad Motorsport, stressed the determination of Binder in the face of this new challenge and noted that the pilot of south africa aims to fight for the World Championship title.

Blusch also highlighted the combination of Binder and Oliveira, as much for their personalities as for their style of riding, and felt that the duo has a great potential for the project.

Danilo Petrucci will end your stage with BMW Motorrad Motorsport

The arrival of Binder also mark a change in the alignment of the project WorldSBK of BMW Motorrad Motorsport. Danilo Petrucci will end his involvement with the team at the end of the season 2026.

According to BMW Motorrad Motorsport is currently exploring options to continue the collaboration with the Italian rider on other projects.

Meanwhile, the team seeks to close the season 2026 with strength and start to prepare for a new phase in 2027, with Brad Binder and Miguel Oliveira as team-mates on-board the BMW M 1000 RR.
