The Guidelines/Requirements for an existing or new BMW Car or Motorcycle Club to become an Official BMW Club through BMWCLAF – BMW Clubs Latin America Federation (they are dynamic and it is always recommended to update your query through this section), are:
a) Officer Candidate Club Letter – The Officer Candidate Club Letter according to the Club Letter model must be prepared on the letterhead of the Officer Candidate Club, signed by its President and sent to the BMWCLAF Presidency through the email bmwclublaf@bmwclublaf.org.
b) Letter of Support from the BMW Dealership – The Letter of Support from the BMW Dealership, according to the Dealership Letter model, must be prepared on the letterhead of the BMW Local Agency, signed and sent to the BMWCLAF Presidency by email bmwclublaf@bmwclubslaf.bmwclubslaf.org.
c) Letter of Support to the National Umbrella Club (only for Chapters) – The Letter of Support to the National Umbrella Club, according to the Chapter Letter model, must be prepared on the letterhead of the National Club Guarda-chuvas, signed and sent to the Presidency from BMWCLAF to the email bmwclublaf@bmwclublaf.org (does not apply in countries where there is no legal and legitimately constituted National Umbrella Club).
d) Minutes of Constitution, Last Election and Registered Statute – The minutes of Constitution and Statute of the club candidate for Official BMW must be legally registered in the country where it was formed, together with the minutes of the last election of the Board of Directors. and Fiscal Council, and simple copies thereof, sent to the Presidency of BMWCLAF through the email address bmwclublaf@bmwclubslaf.bmwclubslaf.org.
d.1) Statute, Personal Data – The Club Statute must include a clause authorizing it to share with the BMW Group all personal data provided by the Member/Partner/Associate.
e) Approved Logo – The logo of the National Umbrella Clubs or Official Chapter must be presented to the presidency of BMWCLAF for its analysis and feasibility evaluation, once this requirement is fulfilled it will be sent by BMWCLAF to Germany for final approval.
f) Permitted Name of the National Umbrella Club – The name of the National Umbrella Club must be in the case of Cars: BMW Car Club Country or BMW Auto Club Country and in the case of Motorcycles: BMW Motorrad Club Country or BMW Moto Club Country.
g) Name Allowed Club Chapter– BMW Automobile Chapters may be called BMW Car Club NNNNN “Province/State/Region/City/Neighborhood” or BMW Auto Club “Province/State/Region/City/Neighborhood” and BMW Motorcycles may be called BMW Motorrad Club “Province /State/Region/City/Neighborhood” or BMW Moto Club “Province/State/Region/City/Neighborhood”; in the case of only “City/Neighborhood” it must be preceded by the 02-digit abbreviation of the State/Province/Region; all logos must use the word “Province/State/Region” in the third line and in the case of only “City/Neighborhood” it must be preceded by the acronym of the State/Province/Region, with the exception of the Classic Chapter or Models/ BMW Code, should not be preceded by “Province/State/RegionCity/Neighborhood” and, finally, in all logos the word Chapter will not be used;
h) Umbrella – When there are two or more Clubs with an Official BMW category in a country, they must form the National Umbrella of the Country, which will be made up of all existing and future Official Clubs in their category (Cars or Motorcycles), so that the future Official BMW Clubs created in the country will be automatically integrated into the respective National Umbrella Club (cars or motorcycles), enjoying the same rights and obligations that already exist.
i) Umbrella – For approval as a National Umbrella Country, a Model Umbrella Letter must be sent to the BMWCLAF Presidency (only for Club Chapters that are candidates for National Umbrellas, it does not apply in countries where there is a Legally constituted Umbrella). National Umbrella Club) signed by the Presidents of the Clubs of the Official BMW Chapters that will integrate it, and send it to BMWCLAF via e-mail: bmwclubslaf@bmwclubslaf.bmwclubslaf.org, which will present it to its Board of Directors for approval and respective registration.
j) Umbrella – The direction of the Clube Guarda-chuvas Nacional País will be made up of all the Presidents of the Clubs of the Official BMW Chapter in the same number of representatives for each of the Clubs of the Official BMW Chapter in the country at the time of its creation; there are no higher hierarchies among its members, all having the same category, the same rights and obligations, nor are there hierarchies of authority among them, but of a purely administrative nature; everyone will have equal voice and vote in the decisions and actions of the Clube Guarda-chuvas Nacional País, which must be by consensus and not by vote.
k) Umbrella – If there is only one Official BMW Club (cars or motorcycles) in a country, the existing Club will hold the representation of the country, but not as the National Umbrella of the Country but as a Temporary Country Club; and it should encourage the creation of new clubs, until new clubs are created, at which time the creation of the National Umbrellas of the Country should take place.
l) Website and Social Networks – Every Club Nacional Country Club, as well as every Chapter Club must create, publish and keep updated its Website, Facebook Page and Photographic File, including other social networks such as Instagram, Twitter and Youtube. An updated page with a summary of the history of the club, additionally informing the date and place of foundation, date and certifying entity (official status), must also be published on the Website and Facebook of the Official BMW Club, and a digital copy must also be published. of the letter of support from the Dealer / Importer / Subsidiary and the (official) certification diploma(s).
m) Registration Fee – Each BMW Club Chapter or Temporary Umbrella Country candidate for Official Club must pay BMWCLAF a one-time registration fee, in the amount of U$400.00 (four hundred United States dollars), as a new member of BMWCLAF Club registration, regardless of annuity.
n) Annual National Umbrella Country Fee – Each National Umbrella Country of the BMW Club or Official Temporary Country Chapter must pay BMWCLAF an annual fee, in the amount of U$ 350.00 (three hundred and fifty United States dollars), if the payment is performed in January and before April 30 of each year. If payment is made after May 1, the annual fee will be US$400.00 (Four Hundred US Dollars).
o) Annual Chapter Membership – Each BMW Official Chapter Club must pay the BMW Clube Guarda-chuvas Nacional Country Oficial, member of BMWCLAF, an annual fee of U$ 350.00 (three hundred and fifty United States dollars), if the payment is in January and until April 30 of each year. If payment is made after May 1, the annual fee will be US$400.00 (Four Hundred US Dollars).
p) Certification at the Annual Assembly – The President or Delegate of the BMW Clube Guarda-chuvas Nacional Country or Country Temporary Chapter to be formalized must be personally present at the next BMWCLAF Annual Assembly, where they will receive the Certification (Diploma), which will accredit them as a Club. Official BMW.
q) Elections – The members of the Board of Directors of the Official BMW Clubs may be elected for a maximum period of 03 (Three) years, and may be re-elected in their positions.
r) Elections – Candidates for President of National Umbrella Country Clubs, members of BMWCLAF, must have been Presidents of Official Chapter Clubs, except in countries where there are no Chapter Clubs.
s) Elections – Candidates for President of BMWCLAF must have been Presidents of National Country Umbrella Clubs or Official Chapter Clubs.
t) Members – The membership of the BMWCLAF Member Clubs is made up of Members / Members / Active Members (owners of BMW cars or motorcycles with a Valid Membership Card of an Official BMW Club), simply called Members.
u) Jurisdiction – Only BMW Clubs located in one of the 33 countries within the legal jurisdiction of BMWCLAF can be candidates for Official BMW Clubs.
v) Country Limit: Only one Official BMW Automobile National Umbrella Club and one BMW Official National Motorcycle Umbrella Club per country.
