Gonzalo Sanjuán will assume leadership of BMW Group Brazil on September 2026

BMW Group announced the appointment of Gonzalo Sanjuán as the new CEO of BMW Group Brazil, a position that will take over officially on September 1, 2026. The executive will report directly to Maru Escobedo, who currently serves as President and CEO of BMW Group Latin america since march 2026.

A career of more than two decades within the BMW Group

Gonzalo Sanjuán has a solid international experience and a track record of over 20 years within the BMW Group. He began his career in 2002 as a fellow of marketing, evolving quickly into key positions in areas of sales, strategy and marketing for the brands BMW and MINI.

Prior to assuming the leadership of BMW Group Brazil, Sanjuán he held the position of Marketing Director of BMW from Spain to 2021, which drove significant business results and strengthened the positioning of the brand in the european market.

International experience in the BMW and MINI

Between 2017 and 2021, Gonzalo Sanjuán led the Cluster of Sales and Marketing for the south of Europe in MINI, with headquarters in Germany, coordinating strategic initiatives in different markets of the region.

Also, he played prominent roles within MINI Spain as Head of Sales & Strategy and Area Sales Manager. His experience also covers the business of BMW Motorrad Spain, where she worked in the areas of business management, business intelligence, and product management.
